Good Skincare & Makeup Habit #1: Avoid Alcohol Based Skincare Products
I’m referring to bad alcohols such as isopropyl alcohol, which is usually found in toners that are made for oily skin. These terrible alcohols may strip the skin of its natural protective oils and adversely affect the skin’s ph balance. Consequently, these bad alcohols may cause your skin to produce more oils rapidly in an effort to compensate for the natural oils that were lost. Life can be really hectic. Amongst all the chaos and clutter, it may seem simple, quick and easy to grab a makeup wipe at the end of the day to remove your makeup. However, if this is done daily, it may do more harm than good.
While makeup wipes are convenient, they do not clean the skin thoroughly and often leave harmful residue that can clog your pores and cause breakouts. Also, removing eye makeup with wipes can cause eyelash damage that nobody wants.
